Browser extension for staff processing documents in the Medicus clinical system. Last updated 28 September 2026.
Docs Helper runs only on Medicus pages (*.medicus.health). It reads information that the signed-in user can already see in Medicus, using their own Medicus session: document task details, filing history, patient search results and the document file. It uses this only to show a helper panel to that user.
Nothing. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal or health information. It makes no network requests except to the Medicus service the user is already signed in to. It has no analytics, tracking or advertising.
When a user chooses to read a scanned document, OCR runs entirely on their computer, inside the extension, using files bundled with it. Page images and the recognised text are not sent anywhere.
Only the panel's position, size and whether it is hidden, in the browser's own storage. No patient information is stored.
The extension never files, matches, assigns or saves anything. It can type a search term or a value into Medicus's own boxes when the user clicks a button; the user checks and saves in Medicus.
Docs Helper is an independent tool, built by a member of staff at an NHS GP practice for the practice's own use. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Medicus Health or Doctolib.
